SPRING SEMESTER INFORMATION
Our Spring Semester continues through the end of May (May 31st). We will offer our regular schedule of classes through the summer months as well (with the exception of Contemporary Class).
NEW CLASS ON FRIDAYS:
In response to student requests, we are adding a Variations class on Fridays from 6:45-7:45. Currently, this class is open to levels B1 and B2 only. To attend, enrollment is required through the end of the semester (May 31st). The extra class cost should be rolled into the regular monthly tuition as one additional weekly class, and cannot be substituted for another required weekly Technique or Pointe class.
SPRING BREAK—School Closed:
The school will be closed the entire week of March 18th for Spring Break. Students missing classes may schedule make-up classes, which can be used anytime through the end of April. (Monthly tuition will not be prorated for Spring Break.)
During the last week of March (week of March 25th), parents are welcome to come in and observe any class in which their child is enrolled.
ANNUAL SPRING RECITAL:
Our yearly Spring Recital (Beginner Level A through Level B2) will be held on Sunday, April 28th at the Carver Museum Boyd Vance Theatre in east Austin. Dancers will need to arrive by 1:00, with the performance beginning at 2:00 pm. There are no recital fees, and tickets are $15 per person. More detailed information to follow in April.
Please note that our Saturday Pre-Ballet students will have an in-house performance during their regular class time on the last Saturday of the semester (Saturday, May 25th). Open to students’ families, there are no tickets required for this showing.
OTHER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS:
Monday, May 27th: Memorial Day
Saturday, June 1st: No Saturday class (Summer classes begin June 3rd)
We will be having the school’s first-ever Summer Intensive the week of June 10th-13th during the day from 10:30-2:15 (regular evening classes will still be in session.)
WINTER INTENSIVE IN SAN ANTONIO
Ms. Jennifer had a wonderful time over the holidays guest teaching at the Winter Workshop for the Ballet Conservatory of South Texas in San Antonio. The students all did a great job, and thanks to the lovely staff for a fun and productive visit! http://balletconservatory.org
